Brian Scott-Smith

Brian has worked in the television and radio business for more than ten years and is a qualified journalist.

He’s worked for BBC TV and Radio in the UK, as a news anchor and reporter, as well as producer and news editor, reporting on many different stories, including matters about British Royalty and the UK Military.

He covered the Queen’s Golden Jubilee in 2002 for TV and has also reported on other stories involving the British Monarchy.

Also a producer and news editor, Brian knows how a news room works and is a great team player.

He produces and writes and is as happy on location as he is in a news studio with a million things happening around him.

Brian was also a senior reporter for the winter Olympics in Vancouver 2010 for the prestigious Olympic Organization itself and their own TV channel.

He now lives and works in the USA and provides his journalistic expertise to online news organizations as well as writing and producing a TV series for Connecticut Public TV called Treasure Hunt, which is in its second season.

His background is in financial services, having been the Press and PR Officer for Zurich Insurance in the UK. Brian was also one of the faces of the pioneering TV station, Portsmouth TV, in the UK.

He is also a respected media trainer for the commercial and corporate world with clients ranging from the British Armed Forces, the US military as well as UConn Social Workers department.
